Rafael Sapo Natal

Rafael ‘Sapo’ Natal, native of Minas Gerais, Brasil, now uses New York City as his training camp. Sapo’s rise in MMA is thanks to a lifetime spent training. First as a Capoiera player, Rafael spent many years perfecting his game, increasing his speed and agility at the same time. Realizing that his training needed more diversity, Rafael began to study Brasilian Jiu-Jitsu with Vinicius Draculino Magalhães in Brasil. In 2007, Draculino joined forces with Roberto ‘Gordo’ and Ryan Gracie. The resulting team, Gracie Fusion, pays homage to the Gracie Family and has created many MMA champions.

When training in NYC, Sapo trains Brasilian Jiu-Jitsu at Renzo Gracie Academy. Training with world class MMA fighters at the Academy, Daniel Gracie, Rolles Gracie, Igor Gracie and Gregor Gracie, Sapo has stayed true to his roots.

The 185 fight class is chock full of tough competitors. Sapo is poised to be the next great 185’er. With a few more fights on the horizon, Dominance MMA Management (Sapo’s MMA manager), has many deals working for Sapo. He is described by his manager as an ‘explosive’ fighter ‘who uses all aspects of his game to take out his opponent.’ Contact Dominance MMA Management for more information or if you’re interested in Sapo for your event.
