Anderson Silva não fará sua revanche com Chael Sonnen na véspera do Super Bowl (final da liga de futebol americano), como o americano desejava, mas o Brasil estará representado no tradicional card. O brasileiro Rafael “Sapo” Natal vai enfrentar o holandês Michael Kuiper no UFC 143, evento programado para o dia 4 de fevereiro de 2012 em Las Vegas.
Fontes ligadas à organização confirmaram o acordo verbal para o combate ao SPORTV.COM. Sapo venceu sua primeira luta no Ultimate em 6 de agosto, no UFC 133, quando derrotou Paul Bradley por decisão unânime. O mineiro tem 13 vitórias, três derrotas e um empate no cartel.Faixa-preta de jiu-jítsu sob Vinícius Draculino, o brasileiro vai enfrentar um especialista no judô. Kuiper está invicto em 11 lutas no MMA e fará sua estreia no Ultimate.
O UFC 143 já tem outras três lutas confirmadas e provavelmente destacará a disputa pelo cinturão peso-meio-médio, entre o canadense Georges St-Pierre, atual campeão, e o americano Nick Diaz.

Morcegao Sapo Team Seminar in Ireland!

Tivemos no último sábado dia 05/11 em Dublin na Irlanda, meu segundo seminário de Jiu-Jitsu para nossa filial Morcegão Sapo Team. Esteve presente cerca de 50 participantes da arte suave. Além do seminário também graduamos alguns alunos para a faixa roxa, marrom e dois alunos a faixa preta, são eles André Ramos Zavaini e Abnel Filho. Os dois juntamente com o professor César Morcegão que e quem esta a frente da equipe na Irlanda, vem desenvolvendo um ótimo trabalho dando aulas em mais de cinco academias na cidade, ajudando assim a divulgar o jiu-jitsu e a nossa equipe. Parabéns ao professor César e aos seus colaboradores pelo excelente trabalho, ficou claro no seminário como nossos alunos estão evoluindo, tenho certeza que e apenas o começo e fico muito grato a todos os alunos que fazem parte dessa linda família, abraco a todos e espero estar ai em breve.

This 2, together with Teacher Cesar Morcegao, who is the head of the team in Ireland, are developing and excelent job there, the team has 5 Training Centres around the city of Dublin, helping the Jiu Jitsu and Sapo Team to grow up more and more. Thanks to Teacher Cesar Morcegao and the guys who help him, for the excelent job, it became clear at the Seminar that our students are improving more and more, and I am sure that this is just the begining. I am gratefull to all the students who are part of this Family, many thanks and hope to be there soon.

Aconteceu no sábado dia 30/04 na cidade de Dublin na Irlanda o meu Seminário para nossa filial Morcegão Sapo Team. Esteve presente cerca de 30 praticantes da arte suave, logo apos o Seminário fizemos a graduacao de alguns faixas azuis e amarelas onde também graduei meu aluno César Morcegão a faixa preta. O jiu Jitsu e um esporte novo na Irlanda e esta crescendo dia pós dia, César já esta la a quase trés anos e conta com a ajuda de dois faixas marrons Abinel e Gera, estamos presente em quatro academias na cidade de Dublin e vamos começar em breve um projeto social em parceria com a prefeitura da cidade. Parabéns César pela faixa preta e a toda equipe Morcegão Sapo Team pelo ótimo trabalho que vem desenvolvendo na cidade.
On April 3rd in the city of Dublin, Ireland we had my Seminar for my affiliate academy Morcegão Sapo Team. There were about 30 participants of the 'Gentle Art' and right after the Seminar we did a graduation of some Blue and Yellow Belts. Also, I graduated my student César Morcegão, to the Black Belt. Sera minha primeira visita a academia do meu aluno Cesar Morcegao em Dublin, sei que ele esta realizando um trabalho muito serio e com isso tem colhido muitos frutos. O seminario sera no dia 30/04, conto com a presenca de toda equipe, sera um prazer conhecer esse trabalho de perto, abraco a todos.

UFC Fight Postponed to Injury

Venho comunicar que infelizmente não poderei lutar no UFC ON VERSUS que ira acontecer no próximo dia 03/03. Agradeço ao UFC por essa grande oportunidade de lutar no main card com esse grande lutador que e o Alessio Sakara. Estava treinando muito e estava me sentindo muito bem mais infelizmente machuquei o joelho e não tenho como continuar meu treinamento para essa luta, espero recuperar e voltar a lutar o mais rápido possível, muito obrigado a todos pelo apoio de sempre.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to fight in the UFC on VERSUS on March 3rd. I want to thank the UFC for the great opportunity to fight on the main card with the great Alessio Sakara. I was training a lot and feeling very strong, but my knee injury has forced me to stop training. Soon, I will recuperate and come back to fight as quickly as possible. Thank you to everyone for the support.

Bad news for all you slobberknocker fans out there.
Maiquel Falcao has reportedly suffered an injury and has been forced out of his fight against Alessio Sakara at UFC on Versus 3: "Sanchez vs Kampmann" on March 3 in Kentucky. Rafael Natal will step in as his replacement, according to MMAWeekly.com.
Natal just might be fighting for his job as he has fought twice under the Zuffa umbrella and has yet to come away with a victory.
The Renzo Gracie disciple opened his Octagon career with a decision loss to Rich Attonito before fighting to a rare majority draw against late replacement Jesse Bongfeldt on the undercard of UFC 124.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist will attempt to avoid the unemployment line, along with some heavy hands, when he steps in the cage with "Legionarious."
Alessio Sakara is in the midst of trying to get back in the boss's good graces after he left them high and dry back at UFC 122 in November of last year (2010).
The Italian (apparently) had a run in with some bad tuna and pulled out of his scheduled co-main event fight against Jorge Rivera just hours before the event was set to take place.
He's assured his employers, not to mention the fans, that it won't happen again. Considering the fact that he had won three in a row before that fateful night in Germany, the consensus opinion is that he deserves a chance to redeem himself and continue his ascension up the 185-pound ladder.
The last submission specialist he squared off with took him into deep waters before Sakara won a split decision. Has he made the necessary improvements to avoid such a close call in this one?
UFC on Versus 3 is set for the KFC Yum! Center on March 3 in Louisville, Kentucky and will feature a main event of top welterweight contenders as Diego Sanchez will try to build off his impressive win over Paulo Thiago against "The Hitman" Martin Kampmann.

No dia 30/12 as 23:55 recebi uma das piores noticias da minha vida, Terezinha a mae do nosso Campeao Thiago Silva" Roylerzinho" me ligou me dizendo que ele havia descancado.
Roylerzinho sempre foi um guerreiro, ganhou varias batalhas no tatame e na vida, quem o conheceu sabe bem quem ele era, mesmo porque ele nunca escondeu nada de ninguem, foi a pessoa mais transparente que conheci na vida, sempre falou o que pensava doa a quem doer e sempre deixou claro suas opinioes. Nao vou falar muito dele mesmo porque nao vou conseguir descrever como,nem quem ele era, aqueles que tiveram a sorte de conhecer sabe bem o que estou falando.
Vou colocar aqui um Depoimento que deixei para ele no orkut no seu ultimo aniversario.

GRADUACAO SAPO TEAM
Aconteceu no dia 20/12/10, na academia do Bairro Betania a Graduacao da SAPO TEAM. A Graduacao e um evento que realizamos todo final de ano para fazer a etrega de grau e de faixa como reconhecimento a dedicacao e a evolucao que o aluno teve durante o ano.
Gracas a DEUS e aos nossos colaboradores nossa equipe vem crescendo ano pos ano, uma prova disso e a quantidade de alunos presente na graduacao. A cada ano que passa temos mais e mais alunos se graduando, lembrando tambem que 2010 conseguimos um titulo inedito, nossa equipe se sagrou CAMPEA GERAL DO CAMPEONATO MINEIRO.
Gostaria de agradecer a todos os alunos e convidados presentes na graduacao, em especial ao professor Emerson Royce que lidera a equipe na minha ausencia e sempre com a minha supervisao, tambem aos professores Fabio, Bill e Max, que sao os grandes responsaveis pelo crescimento da equipe.

With the current trend in MMA judging a topic of heavy debate there was no shortage of work for the ringside judges as Brazilian Rafael Natal took on UFC newcomer Jesse Bongfeldt on tonight's preliminary card. At the end of three, grapple heavy rounds the judges determined that the fight would be scored a majority draw with only one out of the three judges seeing a decisive victor.
Natal began the fight by scoring two quick takedowns on the Canadian newcomer but was unable to capitalize on the first attempt as Bongfeldt was able to get back to his feet in prompt fashion. The second takedown provided greater opportunity for Natal as he secured Bongfeldt's back but Bongfeldt was able to turn his body into Natal which broke the hold and they returned to their feet. The recovery was short lived as Natal returned Bongfeldt to his back and after working for a better position the Brazilian was able to get Bongfeldt's back and sink in the hooks. After missing with the majority of his bigger shots Bongfeldt grabbed onto an armbar but the savvy Brazilian proved too slick to be caught in the submission. Soon after returning to their feet Bongfeldt shot in for the takedown but during the scuffle Natal grabbed the fence which resulted in a verbal warning from the referee. Shortly after the action resumed Natal pounced on an opportunity and not only took Bongfeldt's back but had his best chance to end the fight with a choke before Bongfeldt was able to shake him off.
In the last round Natal appeared to be gassed and Bongfeldt attempted to capitalize. Not wanting any part of the stand up exchange Natal went to the ground but Bongfeldt continued to work for position. Bongfeldt was able to get to full mount where he began to tee off with punches and elbows and Natal appeared to be in big trouble. The Brazilian was able to work back to half guard momentarily but with the round coming to a close Bongfeldt once again regained full mount and desperately tried to finish the fight.
As the judge's scores were read the bout resulted in a majority draw. Bongfeldt was awarded a 10-8 round for his dominance in the third but it wasn't enough to secure the victory in his UFC debut. Natal on the other hand remains winless in the UFC as he has come up on both of his attempts with his first coming at the hands of Rich Attonito.

With the current trend in MMA judging a topic of heavy debate there was no shortage of work for the ringside judges as Brazilian Rafael Natal took on UFC newcomer Jesse Bongfeldt on tonight's preliminary card. At the end of three, grapple heavy rounds the judges determined that the fight would be scored a majority draw with only one out of the three judges seeing a decisive victor.
Natal began the fight by scoring two quick takedowns on the Canadian newcomer but was unable to capitalize on the first attempt as Bongfeldt was able to get back to his feet in prompt fashion. The second takedown provided greater opportunity for Natal as he secured Bongfeldt's back but Bongfeldt was able to turn his body into Natal which broke the hold and they returned to their feet.
