Rafael Sapo vs Travis Lutter - May 15

After two events in 2009, Shine Fights was the biggest promise for 2010. The first event of the year was supposed to be in March, but was postponed until MAy. Rafael Sapo, one of the many Brasilians hired by the event organizers is no longer confirmed for the May 15th event. Says Rafael, “I had signed a contract with Shine, but as they had not given me an opponent for the event in May, Ias ked them to allow me to fight in another event. Because I haven’t been fighting for a while and I don’t want to lose the rythym.”

“They agreed, so I closed up the Moosinusa contract - a very cool event in Boston where Tim Sylvia will fight against Pudzianowski as the main fight. I will fight against a former challenger for the UFC title, Travis Lutter. I’m sure it will be the greatest fight of my life. I am very pleased with this fight opportunity”, Rafael says.

Após realizer duas edições em 2009, o Shine Fights prometia chegar com força total em 2010. A primeira edição do ano era prevista para Março, mas acabou adiada para Maio. Rafael Sapo, um dos muitos Brasileiros contratados pela organização este ano, ainda não estava confirmado para o show do dia 15 de Maio na Carolina do Norte, Estados Unidos, e se cansou de esperar.

Estou com contrato fechado com o Shine, mas como eles não me deram oponente até hoje para o show de Maio pedi eles que me liberassem para lutar em outro evento, pois já estou há um tempo sem lutar e não posso perder o ritmo”, explica o Brasileiro, que fez quatro lutas em 2009, mas ainda não competiu este ano.

“Eles concordaram, e fechai contrato com o evento Moosinusa, um evento muito maneiro que será em Boston, e terá Tim Sylvia x Pudzianowski como luta principal. Eu vou lutar com um ex-desafiante pelo titulo do UFC, Tavis Lutter, e tenho certeza que será a grande luta da minha vida. Estou muito satisfeito com essa oportunidade”, conta á TATAME.
