Rafael ‘Sapo’ Natal. Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, Capoeira player and MMA Champion. Sapo is the definition of today’s MMA fighter. Explosive, technical and driven. His first training was in Capoeira, a martial art in which the players must be agile, fast and balanced. This training transfers easily to the cage, where Sapo’s explosive MMA style can be traced back to his Capoeira. Now, expanding his repetoire, Sapo trains boxing in Brooklyn, NY. Training Jiu-Jitsu with some of the world’s greatest fighters, Sapo draws from his teachers and transforms their teachings into his game. With two Gracie Barra champions as his Jiu-Jitsu professors, Vinicius ‘Draculino’ Magalhães and Renzo Gracie, Sapo’s Black Belt was earned the hard way when Draculino promoted Sapo to Black Belt in 2009.
